It started after a woman named Arianna Allman posted a clip of herself totally butchering a dive into a pool, and it left the internet in stitches.

The video shows her standing on the edge of a diving board. As she leaps into the water she attempts to do a backflip, but instead, lands flat on her back.

'So unfortunately I was not chosen for the USA '24 Olympics diving team,' a text overlay read.

'Maybe next year,' she added in the caption of the video, which has now been viewed a whopping 87.2 million times.

Immediately, Arianna's honest and comical video went viral, and it inspired other athletes to upload clips of their past errors with similar text overlays.

A runner named Teva McCrary shared a clip that showed her tripping over a hurdle during a race, and it racked up 3.5 million views.

She took a tumble and did a roll across the track before getting back up and continuing the race.

But as she tried to regain her composure, she went barreling right into another hurdle.

It crashedto the ground and she fell painfully on top of it.

A gymnast named Ella Stein posted a video of herself suffering from a 'mental block' while performing a floor routine.

It showed her getting ready to do a flip, but continuously stopping herself and starting over.

For about 16 seconds, she struggled to launch herself off the ground before she finally accomplished the task.

Her video got more than 25 million views.

Jojo Moonan, a gymnast from Ohio, also shared a TikTok showcasing a mortifying moment.

Hers occurred on the uneven bars; as she was swinging, the equipment suddenly collapsed, resulting in Jojo plummeting down to the mat.

'Had to bring it back,' she wrote in the caption of the video, which got 7.2 million views.

A pole vaulter named Shelbe Woody revealed she once brutally stumbled after failing to stick her vault.

She shared a video of the fall to TikTok, and it got 276,000 views.

Elektra actress Jennifer Garner even got involved in the trend.
